InmatesWorld is much more than an online community, it is a one of a kind service for inmates and their families or loved ones that is designed to make it much easier for them to stay connected with each other.
InmatesWorld.com was founded for the benefit of Inmates, thier families and loved ones.We have found that it is too often that inmates are mistreated, forgotten about, taken advantage of and are kept apart from their loved ones, so with all those negative aspects of incarceration in mind we designed this site to make things easier on all those involved in the unfortunate event of incarceration.

Our Member Services include:
* Inmate Profiles - Profiles consist of pictures or other uploadable memorabilia that are only accessable by the family or loved ones of inmates, along with incoming and outgoing notes that will be sent (for free) to you or the inmate helping in guaranteeing a connection between inmate and loved ones.
* Thinking Of You Note - Upon becoming a member, the inmate will receive 5 pre-addressed stamped envelopes inside their member packet once a month allowing them to send InmatesWorld short letters that will be posted on their profile for view by their families or loved ones. At the same time the authorized user has the option of having InmatesWorld send out 5 letters a month to the inmate as well. That makes 10 letters total coming and going that we take care of for our members! This way the inmate and their loved ones can save time and money while communicating through the mail.
* Voice notes - Every InmatesWorld member will have a voice player attached to their profile. This feature is easiest to set up for an inmate if they do it before their incarceration date. If an inmate is already incarcerated, InmatesWorld or the user on the account can call a number and record a greeting for the inmate, or the inmate can contact the user of their profile and both parties can be involved in recording the greeting by using a 3-way call. The greeting will play automatically when someone visits the inmates profile page. Along with a recorded greeting, the voice player will record any messages left by anyone who has visited the inmates profile and the inmate will receive these messages in text form once a month along with their member packet. The voice player can be set to private or public. This feature is great for:
* Inmates Locker - This is a place where inmates or their families or loved ones can store and post additional pictures, drawings or any files that they need to to their profile.
* Inmate Connection - This is a service that allows members to contact male or female inmates that are looking to meet new people. Every inmate that becomes a member has the option of having their profile featured on InmatesWorld.coms myspace page at www.myspace.com/inmatesworld. With myspace having an estimated 100 million members, being featured on the InmatesWorld myspace page will increase the chance of meeting someone through our Inmate Connection feature. Inmates World is working with other social-networking sites to bring more exposure to its users than any other pen-pal experience before it.
* Parolee Opportunities - Just another service InmatesWorld provides its members that shows we care. Not only do we offer assistance to inmates, but we offer assistance to parolees in the form of information on grants they qualify for, jobs, and a host of other opportunities available to them.
* Blog City - Create your own blogs that you can display to other InmatesWorld users. You can even keep them private so that only you and other loved ones of the inmate can see. Great for long distance communicating (for free) between you and mutual family and friends of the inmate!
* Free Monthly Inmate Assistance Newsletter - Our newsletter is included in the inmates monthly member packet and can be recieved free by anyone who signs up for it on our site.The newsletter covers all news for that month that is related to anything that has to do with the prison system.
* V.I.P. Membership - When you sign up for an InmatesWorld membership, you have the option of choosing a V.I.P. Membership which is a good choice for those members and inmates that need additional help. With a minimum deposit of at least $300, InmatesWorld will take care of any additional needs of the inmate such as ordering their quarterly packages, books, and release clothes for them. The standard monthly membership fee and the cost of any V.I.P. services will be taken from the deposit. This is yet another way that InmatesWorld.com is making life easier for our members.
